Adaptive Management and Engineering, LLC (AME) is a small business, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Hudson Initiative, and 8(a) firm located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

AME provides geotechnical engineering, field exploration, laboratory testing, and instrumentation and monitoring services to various public and private sector clients. Our team is well versed in planning and providing geotechnical recommendations for coastal protection and restoration projects, upland disposal sites, beneficial use of dredged material (BUDM), industrial, commercial, and roadway projects.

Our Team

AME’s personnel have a combined 50+ years’ experience working with the soft, fine-grained soils of the Gulf Coast. The team knows the importance of taking construction means and methods into account while in project design. We have helped provide solutions to construction challenges by using innovative instrumentation and sampling methods that helped achieve successful projects. We have experience working on projects starting from the permitting stages all the way through construction completion and post-construction monitoring. AME personnel are passionate about restoring and protecting the coast of Louisiana as evidenced through our experience, innovation, and attention to detail.

 

Commitment to Safety

Safety and training are core values at AME and all personnel receive the required job and site-specific training prior to mobilization to industrial sites. Personnel are well versed in site hazards and conduct safety meetings, complete with Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), every day before fieldwork begins. AME personnel possess TWIC card, OSHA basic training, HAZWOPER training, and many other site-specific trainings.

Mr. Tammineni is a registered professional engineer in Louisiana, Texas and Ohio. He specializes in providing geotechnical design in soft soil sediments and is passionate about protecting and restoring the Gulf Coast. He has experience working on a wide variety of projects for clients in the coastal, energy, transportation, industrial, and commercial markets. He has successfully completed projects for various public agencies and private sector clients. Mr. Tammineni has experience in instrumentation and monitoring of hydraulically dredged and placed marsh fill sediments and has been involved with developing methods on accounting for dredging activities in geotechnical design.

Mr. Michael McKinney is an experienced geotechnical and environmental driller / project manager passionate about safety, quality, and client trust in all aspects of field activities. He has extensive experience in executing and managing all facets of projects and providing quality drilling and field testing for a wide variety of projects including shoreline protection and restoration, transportation, industrial facilities, wastewater treatment plants, transmission lines and substations, and commercial developments. He specializes in providing quality geotechnical drilling and cone penetrometer testing (CPT) in soft soils on land and water. He has successfully completed projects for state and federal agencies, parishes and cities, and industrial plants in Louisiana.

Greg Mattson, II

Mr. Gregory Mattson, II is a registered professional engineer in Louisiana. He is very knowledgeable in the areas of coastal and geotechnical engineering and has a great passion for rebuilding and protecting his home state. He has successfully completed projects for various state and federal agencies and private sector clients. He has been in charge of designing and managing numerous marsh creation, hydrologic restoration, salinity control, and flood protection projects. Mr. Mattson has experience in instrumentation and monitoring and has been involved with the construction and post-construction monitoring of numerous projects for private, industrial, and public clients including numerous coastal restoration projects.

Mr. Justin Ator is an experienced, certified geotechnical technician who is passionate about quality and safety in relation to the lab environment. He has experience managing strict deadlines and obtaining accreditations for the lab. He has extensive experience managing projects requiring laboratory testing using ASTM method or AASHTO method for a wide variety of projects including shoreline protection and restoration, transportation, industrial facilities, wastewater treatment plants, transmission lines and substations, and commercial developments. He has successfully completed projects for state and federal agencies, parishes and cities, and industrial plants in Louisiana.
